How To Flash Custom Rom [MTK]/Backup or Restore with[SPFlashTool] and [MTKDroidTools]

First things first- (MTK powered Devices Only)

Pre-requisite and downloads
- Please make Sure you have all the above required Tools before you Proceed.

1. CREATING A STOCK ROM [ROM .IMG] BACKUP FILE

The best possible way to get a Stock Rom backup file is to get it from a working phone [not your bricked phone].
So if you have a bricked phone you should probably get the backup from an exact copy of your phone, (if you have a bricked Techno P5 you should probably get your backup from a working P5)
_Process_

From you PC go to MTKDroidTools folder and run the application as administrator. Connect your device (the working device you want to get its Rom.img) and make sure it is detecting, Now Click the root button, and accept all commands

On the root.backup.recovery dialog Select Backup and allow the process to run, this will make a full backup of the Rom

Simply wait for the backup process to complete, Note that a Prompt will ask you to pack-up the backup just click NO else it will compress the files, we need the file to remain un-compressed. The files will be saved to MTKDroidTool\backups. Make sure you get the task ended status message (on the status bar)

Next step is to make the Rom flash-able when using SP Flash Tool. So you need to click on the Prepare blocks for flash tool

A pop up window will request for the .md5 of the backup file which can be found on the MTKDroidTool\backups folder select the phone backup folder created to reveal the .md5 of your device and click on open.

Next step- just wait for the process to complete and you are done!
you now have an official Rom backup for your device.

2. INSTALLING CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY ON YOUR [MTK] DEVICE

Now that you have a clean Rom backup you will probably want to restore your bricked device, you are on the right path.

Next Step- Open the MTKDroidTools folder and run the application as Administrator, then
click on Root and accept all request.

Next Step- On the root.backup.recovery dialog select To choose the boot.img file
and click on Recovery and boot

Next Step- Search for the boot.img on the backup folder on MTKDroidTool\backups
and select boot.img file

Next Step- Click on Root again accept all request and reboot to recovery
Now you will see the ClockWorkMod Recovery (with the blue screen) installed on your device.

3. RESTORING THE STOCK ROM OF YOUR DEVICE

Next Step- Open the SP Flash Tool folder and run the application as Administrator, Click on Scatter-loading and search for the Rom scatter loading text document. This should be located at MTKDroidTool\backups !Files_to_FlashTool folder. Select the text document

When you have selected the Scatter loading file you should see some selected options as in the image below. Please do not select PRELOADER and DSP_BL file also leave the CACHE and USRDATA unselected as shown in the image below. You dont need them and it could  make your phone useless if you select them.

Next Step- Power off your bricked phone, click the download button and then attach your phone to your PC via USB cable (remember your device must be powered off before you connect)
This process will normally take a few minutes for the download to complete.

Just wait till the flashing process is complete and you will see a download ok! message as shown below.

And now you have a new Rom on your device.
