Here's How You Can Get Free Internet

Well I am sure that by now you have woken up from your slumber and realized that somehow you should be able to use you cable Tv network to get internet.

So I have compiled some simple steps for you, to give you every detail you need in setting up your own home internet free of charge and for life.

First things first

Your cable network- get a cable network running in your home, e.g startimes, DSTV, MyTv, HiTv, Trend TV, DaarSat e.t.c, whatever your choice is, you are your own master, Nobody is going to shoot you for choosing from any.

Your cable Modem- get yourself a cable modem, still wondering what that is, well see the picture below.

now you know how a cable modem look like, so go ahead and buy yourself one of this rare gems. The major thing about a cable modem is that it is capable of decrypting signal from a coaxial cable into internet signal. Which means it is capable of automatically detecting the ip address of your cable network provider.

Your cable Splitter- Now you have one more major thing to get which is a cable splitter, the function of this cable splitter is just to alternate your cable Tv and your internet connection and make it work seamlessly at the same time without causing any major loss of signal or data reception quality.

Now that ye are righteous................. Any way I meant Now you have arrived to the main season. The season of glory, we have reached the stage where the devil cries out in shame. At last you have conquered and you would soon have that dream internet connection you so desire.

But before we continue.......

I am afraid you have to buy one more thing, which is an internet router/ or wireless router, there are soooo many to choose from and very easy to get from your local store.

I personally prefer the Cisco Small business Rv02. you could get other ones like dlink, TPlink e.t.c

Setting it up

Connect a coaxial cable from your cable decoder to the input port of your splitter like in the image below

Then connect another coaxial cable from one output port of the splitter to your cable modem and one other coaxial cable from the other port to your Tv.

Get an RJ45 Lan cable and connect from the internet port of the cable modem to the internet port of your wireless router. Like in the picture below.

Now configure your wireless/Internet router for browsing by detecting the default ip of the connection, it is usually 192.168.14.1 for Cisco Small business Rv02 or 192.168.1.1 for Dlink it will be 192.168.0.1. or 192.168.0.30. or 192.168.0.50 one of the above would definitely work. You could also refer to the manual that comes with your internet/wireless router for guide to set up your internet link.

Be sure to use the automatic wizard configuration if you don't know how to go about the settings. The wizard can detect your Cable network ip address automatically.

Now that you have your dream personal internet, do not be stingy and share to the friends you love so they don't remain in the dark like you used to be.
